Time Zone Converter

Convert a date and time from one time zone to others, with the UTC offset in force on that date. Daylight saving is applied from the zone's rules for that exact moment.

The source starts as the zone your browser reports. You can change it to any zone in the list.

Separate several zones with commas. Up to 12 zones.

Enter a date, a time and a source zone.
A time that falls in a clock change is flagged. If the time is skipped, the converter shows the moment after the jump. If the time happens twice, both moments are shown. Everything runs in your browser; no times or zones are sent or stored.

How it works

The UTC offset of each zone is read for the exact moment being converted, from your browser's built-in time zone rules. Those rules include each zone's daylight-saving dates and history, so the offset on a summer date can differ from the offset in winter. The converter does not use a fixed offset for any zone.

To convert, the wall-clock time in the source zone is matched to a UTC moment, then that moment is shown in each target zone. Where a clock change makes the time ambiguous or missing, the converter checks the offsets on either side of the change and reports which case applies.

The conversion uses your browser's built-in time zone rules and nothing is sent anywhere. The zone list comes from the same built-in data where the browser provides it, and a short built-in list where it does not. Zone names that older software uses, such as Asia/Calcutta, are accepted as aliases.
