Diff Checker
Paste two texts and compare them line by line. See which lines were added, removed or unchanged, side by side or in one column.
Each text can have up to 5000 lines. Lines are compared exactly, including line endings and a missing final newline.

How it works
Each text is split into lines. A line ends at a line break, and a Windows (CRLF) break counts as part of the line. Two lines count as the same only when their text and their line ending are both the same. So a changed line ending or a missing final newline shows up as a change.
The comparison finds the longest sequence of lines that appear in both texts in the same order, which is the most lines that can be kept unchanged. Every other line is either removed (only in the original) or added (only in the changed text). In each changed block, removed lines are listed before added lines.
The side-by-side view puts the original on the left and the changed text on the right, with changed lines paired on the same row. The inline view shows one column: removed lines first, then added lines, with a leading "-" or "+" mark. Lines with no newline at the end are marked as such.
The diff is line by line only, and it is exact. Very long inputs are refused, with the limit shown above, so the page stays responsive.
