Latency Test
How long HTTP requests take to this site, measured one sample at a time from your browser.
Ready. Choose a sample count and press Run test.
How it works
Each sample is one request for the site's small icon file, sent after the previous one has finished. Every request has a unique query string and cache: "no-store", so the browser's cache cannot answer it. The time is measured from sending the request to receiving the whole file, in milliseconds.
A request that takes longer than 5 seconds is stopped and counted as a failure. Failed samples are left out of the times.
Min and max are the fastest and slowest successful samples. The median is the middle value; with an even number of samples it is the mean of the two middle values. The mean is the total divided by the number of successes. All values are rounded to one decimal place, with halves rounded up.
Results are not stored or sent anywhere. Refreshing the page clears them. Network conditions change from moment to moment, so run the test a few times for a fair picture.
