Accuracy Notes
What was confirmed on Microsoft pages, and what is still only partly confirmed.
Everything on this site is study material written from Microsoft documentation. This page lists what was confirmed on a Microsoft page during the last review and what is still only partly confirmed. When a source disagrees with Microsoft Learn, trust Learn.

Still only partly confirmed
| Item | What is and isn't confirmed |
|---|---|
| Geo-redundant storage durability (16 nines) | Only third-party pages state it; the Microsoft Learn pages I could read confirm LRS (11 nines) and ZRS managed disks (12 nines) but were cut off before the geo figures. No question asserts it any more, and the study page and numbers deck label it unconfirmed. |
| Single-VM SLA percentages (99.9%, 99.5%, 95%) | Microsoft Learn confirms the ranking and 99.95% for availability sets. All five percentages match the wording of Microsoft's China-cloud SLA page exactly, and a Microsoft Q&A moderator quotes 99.9% from the global SLA. I couldn't open the global SLA document. Two questions carry a visible evidence note. |
| Legacy ID Protection risk policies retiring Oct 1, 2026 | Three independent sources quote Microsoft's warning box and portal banner word for word, and Microsoft's pages have the migration section, but my fetch cut off before that section's text. The date has passed. One question carries a visible evidence note. |
| Microsoft Learn access during the exam | The section exists on Microsoft's exam-duration page and a Microsoft Q&A moderator points to it. The detail (role-based exams only, split screen, learn.microsoft.com except Q&A, practice assessments and profile, timer keeps running) comes from instructor and blog summaries that quote it. Check the sandbox. |
| Whether problem-solution sets and completed case studies are one-way | Only the break rule is confirmed on Microsoft's page. Third-party guides say they can't be revisited. |
| Microsoft's full list of question types | The 'Question types on exams' section was cut off in my fetch. Microsoft's video page names build list, drag and drop and case studies; the rest of the list on the Exam Guide is labelled third-party. |
| Microsoft's own pages disagree with themselves | The Redis Enterprise update says March 30 in its title and March 31 in its body, and the soft-delete page says preview in its introduction but lists Recovery Services vaults as generally available in its table. The exam-duration page says 40-60 questions while a Microsoft video page says 35-50. I can't resolve these, so the site shows both. |
| How ordering, matching and drag-and-drop questions are scored on the real exam | Microsoft says multi-part questions earn one point per correctly answered component and that alternate scoring approaches are noted in the question text. It doesn't publish the rule for ordering items. This site awards one point per item in its correct position (ordering), one per correct pair (matching) and one per correct choice (choose-N); treat that as a reasonable model, not Microsoft's formula. |
| SQL active geo-replication 'up to four secondaries' | Microsoft's 2016 announcement of active geo-replication for all tiers lists up to four secondaries. The text of the current Learn page that I could read doesn't restate the number. The question and tips that use it say so. |
| SQL geo-restore: RPO about one hour and RTO up to 12 hours | The figures are quoted from the docs' recovery-objectives table in a Microsoft Q&A answer. I couldn't read the table on Learn, which confirms only that geo-restore uses the most recent replicated backups and that large restores can take hours. |
| Cosmos DB: a date as the partition key causes a hot partition | Microsoft's partitioning page has a 'Common partition key anti-patterns' section I couldn't read. The example is general guidance repeated by several sources; the hot-partition concept itself is Microsoft's. |
| Azure Managed Redis: port 10000 and one TLS mode per cache | From Microsoft's AzureManagedRedis migration repository on GitHub (Learn's migration guide mentions a migration agent skill). Learn's retirement FAQ confirms the hostname and key change and that instances are clustered by default. |
| Route selection order for identical prefixes (user-defined, then BGP, then system) | I couldn't read that section of Microsoft's routing page, so there is no ordering question on it and the study pages don't claim an order. |
Corrections made in this review
- Exam Guide: removed the claim, taken from a community guide, that sections and case studies lock once you leave them, and the unsourced question-type list. Added Microsoft's own break rules, the Learn-during-the-exam section (labelled where it relies on summaries), and Microsoft's study-hours guidance.
- Cosmos DB partition keys: still can't be edited in place, but Microsoft now offers a portal Change partition key feature. Study page, tips and questions updated.
- Azure Managed Redis: restored the verified limits of the Flash Optimized tier, and removed an unconfirmed 'only database 0' claim from a question's answer options.
- Lifecycle policies and Synapse: questions that rested on unconfirmed details were rewritten to match what Microsoft's pages say.
- Storage durability: the question that asserted 12 and 16 nines for storage accounts was rewritten around what Microsoft's managed-disks page states (LRS 11 nines, ZRS 12). No drafts remain in the question bank.
- ID Protection: added the settings that Require risk remediation applies automatically, the secure-password-change rule and the 14-day MFA registration window, each from Microsoft's pages.
- VM availability: added Microsoft's ranking of single-VM disk configurations and multi-VM deployments, and softened the SLA notes to say exactly what was and wasn't confirmed.
- Two earlier entries on this page listed the Redis tier ratios and the Blueprints phase dates as confirmed on Microsoft pages before I had actually opened those pages. I have now read both pages and the figures match; the entries above now say so.
- New question format: tap-to-match questions (match prompts to choices, with extra choices and reuse where the question says so) and eight more ordering questions, each taken from a Microsoft page. The scoring rule for matching is one point per correct pair.
- Citations: the ten questions that cited blogs or third-party sites (SQL failover groups, geo-restore, Site Recovery versus Backup, Cosmos DB partition keys, blob rehydration, guest access packages, Managed Redis) now cite Microsoft pages only. Where a figure could not be read on Learn, the question carries a visible Evidence note and the Accuracy Notes list it above.
- Scoring: choose-N questions now earn partial credit (one point per correct choice) instead of all-or-nothing, and the new ordering questions earn a point per item in the right position. The results screen shows points and how many questions were fully correct.
- New question format: tap-to-number ordering and build-list questions that work on touch screens, with seven new questions whose sequences are each documented on a Microsoft page.
How questions are labelled
- Verified questions are used in mock exams. Draft questions show a warning badge in practice mode and are never drawn into mock exams.
- Every question lists the pages it was written from. Some also cite a secondary source for extra context; those details are not what the answer depends on.
- A yellow Evidence note on a question means part of its detail is confirmed only indirectly; the note says exactly which part.
